Landline: Most families had a landline where daily calls were made. It was a phone attached to the wall with a spiral cord, but now a days there are cordless phones and cell phones that you can take with you to places.
Roller Skates: Roller blading was very popular in the 70s. Kids, teens, and adults are able to glide on these!
Kodak Camera: The instamatic is a series of inexpensive cameras made by Kodak beginning in 1963. The Instamatic was immensely successful, introducing a generation to low-cost photography.
Small Television: Many people had one of these small televisions. People watched MTV on it.
Skateboards: The drought that hit California in the 1970s helped create the skateboards popularity. Swimming pools and drainage ditches became empty and dry, allowing kids to go up and down in them with their skateboards.
Chevy: The Chevrolet Chevy II/Nova is an automobile manufactured by Chevrolet, and produced in five generations for the 1962 through 1979, and 1985 through 1988 model years. Nova was the top model in the Chevy II lineup through 1968.

Rubix Cube: Rubik's Cube is a 3-D puzzle invented in 1974. Originally called the Magic Cube. The puzzle had won the German Game of the Year special award for Best Puzzle that year. As of January 2009, 350 million cubes had been sold worldwide which made it the world's top-selling puzzle game. It is widely considered to be the world's best-selling toy.
